Ruth Yan, DDS

Dr. Ruth Yan grew up in Houston, TX dreaming about becoming anything but a dentist. However, when she encountered a nonprofit dental clinic and some very passionate dentists during her college years at Vanderbilt University, she knew dentistry was her calling and passion.

Dr. Yan received her doctorate degree in dentistry from the University of California, San Francisco School of Dentistry, graduating with multiple awards and recognitions in the fields of restorative dentistry, implant dentistry, and periodontics. She is a member of the American Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, American Academy of Implant Dentistry, and the Texas Dental Association.

Dr. Yan has practiced as a general dentist in both Houston and San Francisco. She loves providing the highest quality of cosmetic and family dentistry. She believes that proper dental care can be life-changing and is committed to helping her patients achieve and maintain beautiful, healthy teeth. Dr. Yan also continues to maintain an interest in nonprofit dental outreach. She has had the privilege of participating in several overseas dental mission trips.

During her day-to-day life, Dr. Yan can be found exploring dog parks with her pet Pomeranian, Tofu. She enjoys hiking, traveling, and going to different workout classes. She’s always looking for local restaurant recommendations as well as simple Instant Pot recipes to try out!
